JESS CORONES: Hi I'm Jess Corones from Swimming Australia, GM of Performance Support and the Olympic Campaign. GFX: PAUL DEVLIN HEAD OF SPORTS – AUSTRALIA, AWS JESS CORONES GM OF PERFORMANCE INSIGHTS AND OLYMPIC CAMPAIGN LEAD, SWIMMING AUSTRALIA PAUL DEVLIN: So today we're going to take you inside the Swimming Australia High Performance Team. So what we're going to do is give you an understanding of where they come from, and their old state, some of the tools and the technology that they've used to take that data and create insights for data driven decision making in their coaching team and some of the outcomes of that. But first I'm going to talk to you a little bit about AWS and the world of sports. What we hear from our multiple customers all over the world is that they want to use data to enhance the fan experience. And so we called that Fan 360. They want the content that they desire on the device they want it at at the time when they want it. And so we're turning data into insights. It's exactly the same with the high-performance side of data aggregation. Lots of different data sources, disparate, stored in different locations, bringing them together to create insights for cultures. What the Cloud enables is, allows us to accelerate that rate of innovation, allows us to prototype, allows customers to innovate quickly, and then because of the agility of Cloud and pay per use and value proposition allows us to increase efficiency and return on investment for our customers. GFX: TRANSFORMING THE SPORTS INDUSTRY "INVENTION REQUIRES TWO THINGS: THE ABILITY TO TRY A LOT OF EXPERIMENTS, AND NOT HAVING TO LIVE WITH THE COLLATERAL DAMAGE OF FAILED EXPERIMENTS. ANDY JASSY CEO, AMAZON [AWS LOGO] ©2023, Amazon Web Services, Inc. or its affiliates. All rights reserved. PAUL DEVLIN: There's a quote here from our CEO Andy Jassy. And it really resonates with our sports customers. Invention requires two things: the ability to try lots of experiments, and not having to live with the collateral damage of failed experiments. And I've talked about how customers are innovating on the Cloud and experimenting. And the reason why it resonates with sports customers is fundamentally in the world of sports you either win or you Transcript Swimming Australia's pursuit of gold with data and AWS S E R I E S T E N
